The MAMnium seems to have caught people's imaginations, with Alex, Ben and Daniel adding a further 3 events to the parlour-based heptathlon of the decathlon of the velodrome. Read on to make sure that you are fully prepared for what is surely going to be a monster MAMPAM.
As MAMPAM Blog followers will already know, there are already four challenges; the MAMpub Quiz; the Hot Tabasco Challenge; Hunt the Bugle (with bugle representing the full spectrum of available musical instruments); and the MAMPAM Filmfest.
So, here are Events 5 through 7.
MAMnium Event #5: An Edible Surprise.
MAMmers and PAMmers are obliged to bring an edible surprise to proceedings, and show it off to the other contestants, who are in turn obliged to sample it. Points are then awarded for a) how edible the item is and b) how surprising it is. 4 being the highest complete points total, so each contestant can win a possible 8 points in this round. Zero points to those who don't bring anything.
MAMnium Event #6: MAMPAM Quiz Part 2
Yes, we already have the MAMpub Quiz, but this is with a twist. Each MAMmer must bring five MAMPAM-related questions to MAMPAM and they in turn will act as quizmaster for the other three. One point for each correct answer!
MAMnium Event #7: Bring Your Own Bottle
Contestants are encouraged to bring their own bottles of red wine (has to be red) to a) keep costs down and b) add an element of surprise to the drinkery of the evening. No points will be awarded, though 5 points will be reduced for anybody who doesn't bring their own bottle! Cider can still be procured from Waitrose.
